That would be an interesting poll. I thought about that while reading the other "Babs" thread.

I'm curious, who's attempting to "stifle" her fundamental American right? If you believe you have the right to say whatever you want, then you should be prepared to suffer ANY consequences. Defending your principles is one thing but complaining (that someone is trying to "stifle" your freedom of speech) makes you look like a crybaby.

When does she go back into retirement....again?

Would she just move to Canada already? Or completely lose her voice for the rest of her natural life (the shorter the better???). Either way.

I can't stand her music (it makes me want to gag). I can't stand her politics (does make me gag). I just plain can't stand her.

I like her singing. I htink she is a wonderful talent. I admire her and how she's built her career.

I do not care for her "holier than thou" attitude, I do not care for her politics, and I would be royally pissed if I paid to go to a concert to hear her sing and she did anything political, regardless of who she was parodying.

When I pay for a concert, I want a concert. When I want to engage her in a political discussion, I'll call her. And her statement about "an artist's job" is a bunch of crap. She's a singer, so sing.

I think she's a great singer and performer, but she should leave the nasty political attacks out of the show.

Generally, I'm not in favor of vitriolic and personal political attacks on our President. I got tired of the crew that always attacked Bill Clinton as a scoundrel and philanderer, and I get tired of the crew that always insults GWB for being "dumb".

Show some respect and some class. JMO.

I think she is a good singer. I too dislike Bush but would be really mad if I paid for a concert only to be listening to one of her political rallies or rants. I couldn't care less what celebrities think of our politicians whether I would agree with them or not. They have absolutely no bearing on what I do when it coems to voting.

Love her singing and acting. HATE her politics and the fact that she forces her views on her over-priced ticket buying public.

I saw her live in the 90's and the concert was fantastic. However, I'm glad I don't have tickets for this tour. I would not be happy with the "skit".

So, if I have to vote for the whole package, I vote no.

That seems to be a problem with alot of people in Hollywood. They seem to think that we could give a rats patootie what they think when it comes to politics. They are making millions to entertain us, whether it's to make movies or sing or whatever. They need to learn to shut up and keep their political views to themselves. Don't tell me who to like and hate and don't tell me how to vote.

Do they really think that much of themselves? Are they that egotistical that they think that we could care less who they are voting for? They need to just get over themselves.

If people are actually going to the polls and are placing their votes on what a singer or actor thinks and are actually voting for a certain canditate because their "favorite" star told them to, then this country is in alot of trouble. The president and other elected officals would be voted in not because people agreed with them or stood behind what they believed in but because a bunch of idiots who couldn't think for themselves voted.

Just look at all the folks on this thread wishing her to "shut up".

She has just as much right to voice her thoughts as anyone else. Don't like her views? Good, don't buy the concert ticket. If it hurts her wallet fine, I'm sure she is aware of the cost. Whining cause you don't have a concert to voice your thoughts? Tough, take out a full page ad in the paper. If it hurts YOUR wallet fine.

As much as I can't stand Rush, Hannity, O'Reilly, etc, etc, they have every right to voice their thoughts. As much as I can't stand country music they have their rights as well and God bless 'em. But you won't catch me watching them or buying their music.

My choice...see how it works?
