Barbie Houseparty

I got my rejection email today. That was the first party I've applied for. Oh well, maybe next time. Congratulations to those that got in!!! I'm sure your DDs (or whoever;) ) will have a blast!!

Yes, while I find it in poor taste to whine and cry that you did not get in on the house party there is another option and that would be to go and pay for these things yourself. I would just like to know who of my fellow dissers and houseparty peeps were able to get in on a cool party or not. I wish I got it but like with all the other ones I apply for and don't get I just suck it up. I started this thread because I logged onto my houseparty account and notice this party had started but I had not received any notification about if I was rejected or accepted.

This isn't directed to anyone on this thread so please do not flame me!

But is anyone else really annoyed by the people who post comments on the House Party website blog crying because they didn't get in? On the Barbie one for example there are posts about "oh my daughter is crying now and so upset because we didn't get accepted. Its all your fault, you hurt her feelings she was looking forward to it. You ruined her birthday."

I'm sorry but why would you get your child's hopes up about having a Barbie party when you know there is a chance where you may not get picked? The kid is not going to get mad at the website, its going to be angry at the parent because you were the one who broke your promise.

I also remember another complaint on the blog for the Margarita Party saying how "this sucks, you only picked rich people with big houses and pools for this party". Well guess what, I was picked for that party and I live in a 2 bedroom townhouse with not a pool in sight (our back yard would barely fit a kiddie pool).

But I don't understand all of the "boo hoo me" that goes along with that website. We've all been rejected more times than we can count I'm sure, but life goes on and you just apply for the next party and just hope that you'll get lucky. Maybe those people need some more Disney in their life? :o)

Ok off my soap box.

I have not seen that but I don't know why a parent would even tell their child about it until they were accepted. I got accepted for the Hershey one which I think everyone did, it seems, but have not gotten accepted for a couple of the others since. This would have been great for my daughter's birthday party next month but oh well!

I just found about all of this recently, and signed up. I'm really hoping to get into the Fisher Price one, but I doubt it. I have terrible luck with stuff like that. My son loves his ride on zebra thing, so the horse one would be a huge hit (although sharing, maybe not so much :) )

I made it as a host and I also did the chocolate Bliss party. The only thing I can say is that I really lay it on THICK when I do my essays. I never lie about anything, but I make it my goal to come across as the number one fan of whatever it is I'll be pedaling. I have to say, it was easy for me to do with the chocolate and the Barbies, because I love both! I tried to host the Go Meat! Party and although I do enjoy me some meat from time to time, I guess I came across less sincere because I was rejected for that one. :)

Not me. I haven't gotton picked for one yet.
