Barbers on Main Street

Has anybody had their haricut at the barbers on Main Street ?

YES!! This an absolute BLAST....you MUST do it!! I didnt know what to expect but it was one of the highlights of the holiday. If you dont know, the Main St Barbers is on your far left if you have your back to the Railway Station and are looking up Main st. There is a red & white Barbers pole outside, so its easy to spot if you know what you are looking for.

When we arrived about 2pm on the week of 4th July, there was only one other family in the barbers. A big, big guy was having a crop and was being teased mercilessly by the girl doing his hair...they gelled it up into a spiky mohican and poured "Pixie Dust" (glitter) over him. His wife and kids were rolling on the floor!

My 3 year old was a little nervous, but the girl who did her hair gave her bubbles to play with that worked like a charm. I asked for a trim, but she put a beautiful French Braid in as well....she looked stunning when she had finished. A sprinkling of pixie dust topped off her new look. I also got my baby son in the chair too...he was only 9 months old and so got baby Mickey "First Haircut" ears, a certificate and a lock of his hair wrapped in paper and tied with ribbon.

When both kids were done, a big queue had formed....its worth checking back if there is a line, as they get quiet and busy times all day.

We got tons of great video footage of this and it will be a must do on our next trip. So many CMs commented on our Pixie Dust hair dos (even tho Dh and myself didnt have cuts, we still got the pixie dust!!).

Cost was (last summer) $12 for kids and $16 for adults....I tipped $2 each for the kids cuts.
