Does anyone know if the Barber shop in MK is still open?? My mom heard that you can take your little ones there for their 1st haircut and they get a little certificate. My DD2 has never had her haircut and we are going Sept 23-28 and wanted to get it done then. She also heard from someone else that it is now closed. She works at the Disney Store in our Mall and talks to guests all the time about the parks. Is this true?? Any info? Thanks!

Yep it was open the first week in August...my son got his hair cut there for about $14.00

The barbershop is open!! Just be aware that it is first-come-frrst-served (no reservations or appointments are taken) and it can get a bit chaotic in there. There is no front desk to check in at, and if there are several people waiting, there can be some discrepancies over who was there first, etc. Try to get there as soon as they open, or during the 3pm parade for short waits.

Harmony Barber Shop in MK, when you come into the park it's to the left near City Hall. Hours are 9am-5pm IIRC. No reservations, walk up first come first served

I hope it is still open! We are so looking forward to having our little ones first haircut here. He is 17 months old and his hair is getting really long and curly! People think I'm silly for waiting to do this, but I think it will be great!

Our DS1 will be 15 months when we're there. We've also put off getting his haircut, so his first could be at WDW, even though he's starting to look like a hoodlum (what I call the boys when their hair is getting long).

Yes, it is still open, you get the hair saved, a certificate and some Mickey Ears that say "first Haircut" on the back of them, all for $14. See my picture in my signature.

Just to make sure... is a regular haircut $14 or just the My First Haircut package?

We will be taking a day trip there and my son needs a haircut, thought he might get kick out of getting it there.

Also, how much do you tip? The same as if you went to your usual place or more?

Just checked my receipt from June and DS's haircut was $14.

They also do regular haircuts, DS just decided to be bold and try a mohawk It's all grown out now but it was cool while we were there

They do cut adults hairs, I saw them do a Mickey Head stencil in blue gel on one 40ish guy when I took DS. Not sure if they'd be set up to do locks of love though, as I understand there are certain things that have to be done for that
