Barber Shop Question Locks of LOVE

My 4 year old wants to get her hair cut and donate it to locks of love. I thought it may be cool for her do it at Disney. Does anyone know if the Barber shop in MK participates in the LOCKS OF LOVE program>?

Hi, First, congrats to your daughter for having such a caring heart!

I think that you have to send your hair into Locks of Love. The only time that I have seen the hairdresser collecting the hair to send in was a weekend long event that the hairdresser sponsered (in my hometown). Just have a ziploc baggie with you to put the hair in. You want the ponytail to be as tight as possible because the ponytail can fall apart if it's not bound tight. (can you tell I've done this before?LOL) make sure she gets LOTS of pixiedust too! Sbella

Hi! I'm a hairdresser and I do this lots of times!! My suggestion is that if she has really thick hair do two ponytails (or braids, they stay together better) and like the other poster, bring a ziploc bag to put it in. You can then go to www.locksoflove.org to print the paperwork you need to fill out

according to the website, if they do participate in the LOL program...the haircut would be free...So, i doubt the main st barber would be participating in it. Oh well, I guess she can get it cut around here instead....
