Thanks Jeff and everyone for there post. Yea I am really into web design and hosting and own all the Adobe programs and Frontpage. Made sites for years so I understand its a lot of work. I have made disney forums and sites but no one comes. What kind of forums do you think people here could use but not to compete with the dis?

It is really sad. The site has great info and I bet a lot more people would post their tips.

I don't dare post my results on that board. "Sheryl" (a moderator) seems to act like she is God's gift to that board.

I have also been on that site several times, I posted on there ONE time and she was so rude to me because I had ONE thing wrong in the way I formatted my question..... since then, I have never posted again!! so..... don't worry about it, she gets mad at everyone, from the start I saw how rude her replies are to people, it's not just you !!!! maybe someone will start a new bidding for travel site and have DIS type people run it !

I too have never posted on her site because I was scared that I would do or say the wrong thing. There is a culture to posting on bulletin boards and frankly if you do it wrong someone somewhere will correct you. On the DIS it is always pretty gentle with the focus on teaching. Over there it is not just the bulletin board language but also there own personal code. Get it wrong and "No soup for you!!!"

I figured that I was missing out on how to bid on stuff. It would be nice to learn in a helpful environment. I hope it works.

Sheryl (not Sherry) is a shrew. Heck, she was banned from the DIS boards for her nasty attitude several years ago.

I read her board because the information is valuable, but geez, she could just post a link instead of getting snide with a new guest to her site.

I have gone to their web site for tips/info, and Sheryl is often nasty to posters for no apparent reason. She must be quite a charmer in real life.

I remember she got into a fight with Beverly Lynn. I thought she just left the DIS because she and BL kept getting into fights and she kind of "YAGEd" because she thought people were siding with BL??? I didn't know that she was banned. Her name was TravelSheryl I think?

I must say that I don't care that she is rude..... that is just sort of her personality I think. I am just glad that her site exists because I have saved a ton of money by being an informed bidder.

Welcome to Sheryl's world. You are not alone. She bans people all the time. Basically you play by her rules or ELSE. So if you don't respond to all her questions and act like you have not read all the FAQs you are gone. The funny part is I am pretty sure she makes a living off of this board. What a way to treat your customers!

There is another board www.betterbidding.com Not as comprehensive but friendly.

I do post. I just ignore her. If she bans me I can always register again with a different name (the late BL had TONS of names here!)

Wow its amazing how i posted and everyone agrees with me. I know on lots of threads there is a usually always some kind of differing in opinion. Not this one. LOL Guess what I got the new travel forums semi up and running. I will let you know link when its ready for you guys to visit

I remember BL and Sheryl going at it too. Sheryl always had to be the "Know It All" and BL was a strong minded woman also (may she rest in peace).

They even used to disagree over the size of planes.

Set up a new user id and see if you can get in that way. Just don't bother to post.

Nope she blocked my ip and I cant change my ip without paying. So I am done on that site. She wont even respond to my messages to her.

grlpwrd: I care that she is rude because if you expect to run a good site you need to be good to. I am mad post that I was banned more then I am mad about her rudeness.

True. But if he has a router, he also has a manual on how to use the router and reset his address. It's actually easier to reset mine because of that. A few clicks, and it'd be reset. Not that I really want to, but you get the idea.
