Banks

I bank at Chase and I had my paycheck deposited there every week while on my CP. I usually don't carry cash and i do all of my banking online so not having a location close by was not an issue for me. As most of you might know, Chase just acquired WaMu which I believe has locations in Orlando and by next year should all be converted.

All that being said, unless you constantly visit the bank and don't have online banking, I would stick with the bank you currently have. It really isn't a hassle not having a location close by...

Looking for an update on this. Still Chase ATMs in the parks?
Still credit union ATMs backstage and in the housing area?
Any advice or complaints about getting cash/paying ATM fees?

Yes and yes.

I detest Chase and on principle will pay a fee somewhere else first. I love my Partners account and have had no problems with the ATMs at all. I love that I don't have to go far and if I do need to go to a branch, where else do you get to drive by Space Mountain to run an errand at the bank???;)

I had an account with Partners CU for a while, and got rid of them. I felt that I was just a number to them. (the fact that one of their branches has video screens instead of tellers just added to the impersonal feeling).

I've been with Regions ever since, and have had no problems at all. (there's a regions branch about 5 minutes from my house, which is on my way to work, so it's very convenient for me). The tellers recognize me and even remember that I work at Disney.

I absolutely LOVE Partners - I purchased my first house just over a year ago and got my mortgage through Partners with their special home mortage program. It gave me a discount on the house and my rates are great!

I agree with Gray, the convience of being able to stop by an ATM at work is a huge bonus. Not to mention, they have offices in the MK Utilidor and in the DHS Cast Services Building if you need to talk to someone.

Now, see, I've had the opposite experience with Partners. When I got my car loan last year, the folks at the DU branch were as friendly as could be, very helpful, and even remembered what I bought and asked me how I was enjoying it about 2 months later. Not to mention an excellent interest rate and how darned easy they made the process. I guess I don't mind the video-conferencing at the branches b/c I've had that in the past at BOA, so it didn't seem like that big of a deal. My girls both have savings accounts there and they love it (and the tellers are always very sweet to them).

I don't have a Regions account, but have friends who do who HATE them. I mean, major errors like checks deposited and posted to the wrong accounts or deposits made and then not posted until a few days later. I've been surprised b/c the stories come from unrelated people but are similarly horrid including overdraft fees and having to argue the facts (copies of deposit slips) to get them refunded.
