We have two contracts (same June use year). Is the percentage we can bank based on the sum of both contracts or within each contract? For example, we have 270 BCV and 100 SSR points (370 total) with all but 71 SSR points used. The 71 points is less than 25% of our total point allotment, therefore do we have until March 31 to bank them or, do we have to bank them before November 30 (banking deadline for 100% of points) because all the points are SSR points and exceed 50% of SSR points?

As long as you are udner 1 contract number, than it is based on total number of points owned. So you can wait to bank.

If you transfer one set of points from one contract into another (a one-time thing for the year, not a permanent thing), there are no banking deadlines and you can bank anytime. I have asked this 3x with different people at MS and they have all confirmed this.

Two purchases under the same master contract number are summed together for banking purposes. This would be for example an original purchase through Disney, and an Add-on, again through Disney. This is a true add-on and all points are combined for banking purposes.

If for example the 2nd purchase was not a true add-on but instead a new contract number (such as purchasing a resale), then the points are not combined for banking purposes. The way around this scenario, for example, is to transfer points between the contracts as suggested by las3888.

For those of you using my DVC-Planner program, the banking calculator lets you enter all your contracts, sums them into groups as required, and shows you the banking deadlines and percentage/number of points that can be cumulatively banked.
