As everyone probably knows, DVC has changed the banking windows and percentages, beginning 1/1/08. These changes cover all Use Year months.
The current system allows 100% banking for the 1st 6-months of a use year, up to 50% banking for the next 3-months, up to 25% banking for the 10th month, and no banking allowed during the 11th or 12th month.
Beginning in Calendar Year 2008, banking will be 100% during the 1st 8-months, and no banking allowed during the last 4-months. Note that this change does not just begin with your 2008 Use Year Points, but actually applies to your 2007 Use Year points as the banking windows change on January 1st.
Because of the way this rolls over between calendar year 2007 and calendar year 2008, I made a chart which shows the banking windows for someone's 2007 use year points, for each of the 8-Use Year months.
I find it interesting that a June Use Year month actually retrogrades.
For ALL use year months, your 2008 UY points will have the new 8-month 100% banking window.
Hope this helps.
If your monitor resolution is not high enough, you may need to scroll the window left and right to see the full chart. The 'red' entries all say 0%. They look a little blury because of the way colors are handled when I resized the graphic. (It originally was much larger)
