It is not possible that 2006 points have to be used by 3/31/2006, so you must have made a typo. Did you mean your 2006 points must be used by 3/31/2007?
What is your use year? Banking deadlines depend on use year. How many points do you have? Banking also depends on quantity.
If you have an April use year, your 100% deadline for the 2006 use year is the last business day of September, 2006. Your 50% deadline is the last business day of December 2006 and your 25% deadline is the last business day of January, 2007. You cannot bank any points in February or March of 2007.
So if you have 200 points and want to bank all of them, you have to call MS before they close on September 29, 2006. MS is closed on Saturdays and Sundays and some holidays.
If you don't bank any points before the 100% deadline, you could bank up to 100 of them (50% of 200) if you do it before MS closes on December 29, 2006.
Banking is cumulative, so for example, if you bank 100 points in November, 2006 you will not be able to bank anymore of the 2006 allotment. But if you don't bank any points before the 50% deadline passes, you could bank up to 50 if you called before MS closes on January 31, 2007.
