banking points

I've been a member for years now and haven't banked points in a while. I need to bank my remaining points since we don't have a trip planned. I was looking all over the DVCmember website to bank my points and for the life of me couldn't find where to go to bank my points. Do I need to call Member Services to bank or is there is spot on the website where I can bank.

You can definitely bank on the website.

Go the member site, sign on, open the MY DVC Membership tab at top right and click on My Dashboard. A page will come up showing your existing use year and points and click on the small type that says "Manage Vacation Points." The next page will have your use year and contract or contracts and if you have bankable points you will see the words Bank Vacation Points in blue under the list of contracts and click on it and follow further instructions

Thanks guys, I knew banking was available on the website just couldn't find it. Ok I just followed your directions, I must be to early to bank these points.

I have a September UY and I have 74 points left from my 2016 UY. I know we won't be traveling to Disney again until fall of 2017 so I was going to bank these points so I didn't forget. There's nothing listed on the page about banking. So I'm guessing I'm to early.

With a September use year, it's not 2016 yet.

If you have a Sept UY, and 2016 points left, you do not have to bank them until April of NEXT YEAR!

You are still in your 2015 UY. 2016 points need to be banked by the banking deadline of your 2016 UY

The online system will not show that you can bank points until your applicable use year has begun, September 1, 2016. Right now the only thing it would show as bankable for you would be September 2015 points if you had any left.
