Banking Points

Being new to DVC, I am confused about banking and then using banked points. I have an April UY, I have 38 points remaing for 2009 which I know I need to bank prior to 30 November 09. I want to book a trip for September 2010, do I need to bank these 38 points BEFORE I book that trip in order to use them for the trip? If I book it before I bank, will I be using only 2010 points? Thanks for all of your help...

Yes, you need to bank before you book. It can be done during the same phone call, just do the banking transaction first.

yes. if you don't bank them before nov 30, 2009, they will expire. if they expire, they cannot be used for the sept 2010 trip.

at this point, you can bank your 2009 pts and book the 2010 trip on the same call to MS.


If I book it before I bank, will I be using only 2010 points?

you can tell MS what you want to do. i would tell them to make sure to use the banked 2009 pts first.
