Is there a rule on how many times we can bank points in a year?

For example, I have 50 points for 2010 that I have remaining (august use year). Can I bank 25 today and the other 25 by March 31st?

Or can you only do one banking transaction per year?

nope. you can bank multiple times in your use year if you need to...up until your banking window closes.

Good question. I was under the impression that you could bank and transfer points as long as they were eligible.

The above is correct, you can bank as many times as you want as long as it is done by your banking deadline. The rule is that you can transfer points only once per use year (once in or once out but not both). You cannot transfer banked or borrowed points. You cannot borrow points that have been transfered. You can bank (again more than once if needed or desired) points that have been transfered but those follow the transferor's use year and banking deadline. Points once borrowed or banked cannot go back to their original use year and points onced transfered cannot go back to original owner.

You can only bank points for 1 year. For example 2009 points can be banked into the 2010 year but not into the 2011 year.

Yes, you can have banked points in your account for two different UY's. For example, you have 2009 UY points that were banked into the 2010 UY. You could, if you wanted, bank your 2010 UY points into 2011 UY.

But, you will never have more than one UY's worth of banked points to use on the same trip. Those 2009 UY banked points will expire November 30th. I you bank your 2010 UY points, they won't be eligible for trips until Dec 1st, 2011.
