I see this quote on the DVCMEMBER page and I'm confused....:confused3

To bank Vacation Points for a Disney Cruise Line® vacation from the next Use Year to the following Use Year contact Member Services at (800) ******** or (407) 566-3800

Does this mean I can bank more than one year's worth of points if I intend to use the points toward a cruise? I was considering trying to take the cruise in 2008, but if I can bank my 2007 and 2008 points into 2009 I might do that so I can take the seven dayer. Please help!

We just booked a cruise for November 2008 with points. We have a June UY and were allowed to bank our 07 points to use with 08 points for the cruise. I don't think you can bank two years worth of points - I think what it means is that you can bank "ahead"...normally we would not have been able to bank our June 07 points until June 07, but for a cruise you can bank a years points into the next year even if you don't actually have them yet.

Hope this made sense :confused3

We just booked a cruise for Apr 2008. We used part of our Dec 06 points, our Dec 07 points and needed to borrow 4 points from our Dec 08. So if you need points from three different years, you would cruise during the second year and they can use points from the first year and the third year as well.

I booked a cruise for this year using my 07 points and a couple of my 08 points. I am thinking of booking an 08 cruise using both 08 and 09 points.

A prince and princess nailed it. You can book banked, use current and borrow one year future. It is a beautiful thing about DVC!

You must pay for points from one use year and one contract. You can bank and borrow to that use year to get extra points if needed. You pay for the cruise with points in the use year the cruise falls with the exception that if by chance the cruise falls more than 1 use year ahead (not very likely but can now happen), you get to chose whether to pay in the current use year or 1 ahead. It really works just like you're making a reservation other than you ignore the home resort window. For example, say you had a Dec use year and wanted to travel in Dec, 2008. You're currently in the 2006 use year, that would be 2 use years ahead. You could not pay with 2009 points and could only pay with 2008 points by borrowing them.

Same exact explanation for some exchanges that occur more than a full year out.

We have a Dec UY and are therefore using '06 pts. for our '07 vacation this summer. So we just banked our remaining '06 pts. into our '07 pts. that we will get THIS Dec. Then we booked a cruise for July '08 with our '07 pts. and the pts. banked from '06. If we needed any more we would've had to borrow '08 pts. & put them into the '07 pts. The pts. should be banked or borrowed into the UY that you would be actually using during the cruise dates. Make sense?
