Banking Deadline

Just realized that I need to bank my February use year tommorrow. Odd, I never bank, usually borrow! After 14 years it was bound to happen!
I have a fast question.....can I use banked points for Disney Cruise?
I also have some points in holding, and don't even know why. Can I use these points for a disney cruise?
It will take some time for me to reconstruct all my ressies, but those holding points are upsetting. I wonder if I was unaware what a CM was doing at one point.
I thought to sell my points to pay for cruise, but now these are going to be distressed points. I guess I will be on the phone for a while with member services in am. If anyone can tell me about what points I can use to book a cruise it would be greatly appreciated so I can start planning.

Yes, you can use banked points for the cruise or for any other reservations offered by DVC. You can use banked, borrowed and current points for any of the Disney Collection options (including the cruise).

Holding Account points can only be used within 60 days of when you call, so your cruise options may be limited. You could not use those Holding points during the last 4 months of your Use Year either (for many of the non-DVC options) unless the reservation is made prior to the last 4 months.

Yes, you could use holding account points for a cruise. But, there are conditions attached to them.

For The Disney Collection (except Disneyland® Resort hotels in California), Concierge Collection or Adventurer Collection if you're making the reservation more than 4 months before the end of your Use Year for a check-in date that is 60 or less days away.

Wow...tomorrow will be a DVC day! I have 150 points in holding and I have no idea why. I will try to find that out, but more important, I will be at the 4 month and one day mark to use them. I hope that is to book, not use!
This is the first time in 14 years that I even needed to bank, much less, also, have points in holding. I take blame for not being more vigilant on where points were being taken from during my last stays. I assumed old points would be used first. OK, never assume! Lesson learned.
I will see what can be done. I wonder if that one time in a lifetime exception will be an option for me.
