Ok I'm trying to see if I unerstand this correctly.

August 2017 i'd like to book a stay at AKL-concierge for 233 points. I just banked 81 points from uy15. I'll get another 100akl points for Uy 2016 in December.

The 11 month mark will be September 2016 so what I'm thinking i'll have to do is use the banked points and then borrow from Uy2016. I still won't have enough points to cover the trip so I will book what I can. Then once I'm in uy16 in December I'll be able to borrow the remaining points from uy17.

Does that sound right??

Just as a little bonus question I also have a contract with SS. Once I'm in the 7 month range can DVC move the points around so I can switch out the borrowed 2017 akl points for what will be the current year SS points and put the borrowed akl 2017 points back in 2017?

If your UY is December:

Your August 2017 trip will be in your 2016UY. That means you can use 2016 points for it, as well as 2017 points(via borrowing) and any banked points.

You can book your entire trip this September.

To break it down further, in your 2016 UY, you have access to:
81 banked 2015UY points + 100 2016UY points + 100 2017UY points (via borrowing).

You do not need to wait. Call at the 11 month window and book your 233 point reservation.
You will need to borrow 52 points from your 2017 UY to make it happen, but you can do that this September.

Just remember, that once those points are borrowed, that can not be undone. Should you cancel that trip, those 52 points will expire 11/30/2017, and can not be banked.

They also won't switch out your 11-month booking home resort points at 7 months, unless the room you have booked is available independent of your reservation. With AKL CL, this is extraordinarily unlikely.

They don't let you hold the room for 4 months on home resort points, then swap it out for 7-month points.

Booking CL at AKV is next to impossible and walking the reservation will help your chances.

Even if it's a home resort?
Even if. There are a total of 5 2BR lock-off units in the AKV-CL category, meaning that at any time the max number of available rooms is 10. It is very easy for someone to have booked earlier in the week and already be blocking some of your desired dates.

Is it available to those who aren't Dvc?
I doubt these rooms ever get released to CRO. There are Club Level rooms at Jambo that are not DVC Villas.

Well I've always wanted to try it. Maybe I can get a day or two at least.

The DVC CL rooms are on the 6th floor in Jambo. There are 5 studios and 5 1 bedrooms. Owners there sometimes start walking their reservation a month in advance. If you check current availability you will get an idea of what is going on.

The lounge mostly serves non-DVC rooms.

True, the AKL CL rooms are on the 4th floor, DVC took over the 5th floor for villas, the CL lounge is in the 6th floor and IMO they gave the rooms on the 6th floor to DVC due to their obstructed views. I question why they didn't include some DVC CL rooms on the 5th floor especially since they had to create a separate CL booking category.

I also wonder who pays for the lounge area, is it DVC and is it leased back to Disney like the BLT lounge?

No idea.

But there are 55 Club Level rooms at Jambo within the AKL property, and then the 5 2-BR lock-offs that are DVC that also use the lounge.
