Okay, we are going to try for a BIG family get together sometime in 2005 or at the latest Our Spring Break 2006 (March 27-31st).

We have an April UY. I want to make sure I have my thought process straight in case we opt for the Spring Break 2006.

If I bank the rest of our OKW points for the 2004 UY. I can still use them for our Spring Break 2006 trip correct? The banked points need to be used by March 31, 2006.

I think I am correct, but I was confusing myself. HELP!

You are correct. For a trip that takes place on March 27-31st, you can use your 2004, 2005, and 2006 April UY points. If you stay until April 1st, you can also tap into your 2007 points. HTH, and have a fun trip!!!

A trip this late in your Use Year is the one time when Use Year really can matter. I would be very sure everyone will go ahead with this trip because if you have to cancel short-term you will have very few options. Any points you bank or borrow will have to be used by March 31, 2006. The April 2005 can be banked if you cancel in time. (September 30 to bank 100% of your total points; December 31 for 50% of the points and January 31 for 25% of your points). As of February 1 if you cancel, those points also have to be used by March 31, 2006.

Another thing to keep in mind, if you cancel after January 31, you will no longer be able to use the points for anything except DVC resort stays. You can stay at non-DVC options (hotels, cruise, etc.) during the last 60 days of your Use Year but the reservation has to be made prior to the that 60 day time period.
