Banking 2007 points, do I need to use in 2008?

Hi,

I have two new DVC contracts. One at BCV and one at OKW.
Both are Aug UY

We are going to BCV in early 2008 with our 2007 BCV points.
We will not be going to OKW in 2007 so we are planning on banking our OKW points.

Questions:

1. With an Aug UY I can bank 100% with the new rules until?
2. I assume my Aug UY points run Aug 2007-Aug 2008 so if I bank my 2007 points then I must use them between Aug 1st 2008 and Aug 1st 2009?

Yes. The first night to use the banked points would be August 1, 2008 and the last night for which those points may be used is July 31, 2009.

We have an August UY and since the new banking rules aren't in effect until January 1, 2008, the Dis website is telling me I have until the end of January to bank 100% of my points. Next year, my understanding is we'll have until the end of March to bank 100%.

The rules change on 1/1/2008. For all practical purposes, those with August use years have until March 31, 2008 to bank their 2007 use year points.
