banked pts can't be transferred

I just got off the phone with MS. I have 2 left over points from a trip next April, they are banked 07 points into 08. I asked her about transferring and was told that I cannot transfer banked points. Is this correct? Have any of you transferred banked points in the past? If this is correct, I'm going to upgrade my view, using 8 of my 2008 points and the 2 2007 banked points so I don't lose them.

That is correct, banked points can not be transfered....but, transfered points can be banked.

This is news to be, a good news . I thought transferred points had to be used in it's current year.

The changed the rules allowing transferred points to be banked at the same time they changed the holding account reservations from 30 to 60 days a few years ago.
