Banked points

Is there any info out there that speaks to Disney's policy on banked points, specifically 2018 & 2019 points that are leftover due to Covid issues. Will they have to be used in 2021? Or will they allow these to extend into 2022?

They are not making any more exceptions for points now that resorts are open, other than VGC.

All banked 2018 points expired November 30th, 2020 unless they were Aulani points and those were given until the end of February 2021.

The only exception for banked 2019 points was again for Aulani and those are being given an extra month...end of Feb 2021.

So, if you own any other resort than Aulani, the banked points expire at the end of your 2020 UY and your banked 2018 points are already expired.

As Sandisw outlined if for any reason you feel that you are not going to be comfortable making it to one of the open resorts I would look to rent your points out. If you price accordingly you will for sure find a renter.
