This is totally hypathetical (think I spelled that right!!)

Say I have 150 points and I go to WDW every other year.

Year 1, I bank my 150 points, this gives me 300 points for year 2.

Year 2 I book a trip and use 280 points the next year. I have 20 remaining points and bank them to year 3. BUt here is the problem, I am not returning to WDW till year 4. So do I loose those points?

2nd scenario

Year 1, I borrow 130 points, giving me 280 points for my trip. Left with 20 points for year 2, but I am not going year 2, so I bank them into year 3. Which is when I am going, so I have 170 points for year 3, but I need 280 again, so I need to then borrow 110 from year 4, and then I bank the remaining 40 to year 5?

Does this make sense, so is it better to borrow or bank if you only use your points at WDW and come every other year?

Is it obvious I am avoinding the laundry today!!! :earboy2:

Scenario 1 - yes, you lose the 20 points, they can only be banked for 1 yr.

Scenario 2 - that sounds right, and you keep your points.

Or, if you like Scenario 1, if you're going to lose the 20 pts, maybe get bigger accomodations or an extra night to use them?

Is there any such thing as too much time at Disney?

thanks, I just feel bad for the girl on the Westgate thread, I know about getting jerked around by Orlando timeshares!!! And I was just thinking that everyone says that DVC is great even if you come everyother year. Thats what got me thinking! You hate to be in debt with points but guess it is always better to borrow then bank!!!!

I know what you mean, anything this big is a major decision. We got our contracts in the mail yesterday and DH and I were reading each line of 100 pages (LOL, not that many) last night. Before even viewing a timeshare I researched the name on the internet and google groups and saw what others were saying about their experiences. We toured a Bluegreen timeshare and I will say our guide was super nice and the whole experience was pleasant. We would have purchased then, as a matter of fact, except I knew I was interested in a Disney ownership, and they (of course) didn't offer Disney accomodations.
