Band Trip to WDW

HEY

my school is working on taking a combination of some of our bands 10th-12th graders to play in disney world then spend a couple days in the parks

has anyone ever done this??
if so like where did you play?
what hotel did you stay at?
was it fun?
anything else cool?

any thing you could tell me would be awecome and greatly appreciated

i remember my brother went with his chorus nd band. they went in april nd they stayed at all star music.

my chorus nd band is going to myrtal beach this year.lol should be fun but i hope we go to disney before i graduate..next year??

I went my frosh year ('03) with the band. I'm in colorguard, so yeah, i dont play anything.
It was SO much fun. WDW w/o parents? With just your friends? HELLO? what's not to like? hehehe
We stayed at All Star Music (and what a co-ink-i-dink that we were band? lol)
We did Magic Music days, so we got to march down Main St b4 the 3o'clock parade (which was AWESOME!), and do a workshop. Band did one that you play songs to a disney movie, and they put your music to the movie. And guard did a dance workshop which we learned dance moves from one of the shows. It was fun!
The guard also performed our winterguard routine at a stage in downtown disney.

I had the BEST time on that trip. Will NEVER forget it!

i have friends in marching band, i think they're going this year, but i'm not sure. i'm on dance team, and we were supposed to go w/ them and colorguard, but.. my school hates us so i guess we're not going anymore! my friend went last year and had an awesome time though !

I think i'm going for sure. I'm only in middle school and i got 3 more years. If I do go I think that it will be over spring break or smoething that we don't have school.

I'm going in a little more than a week to watch my sister's band. They are playing in the 3 o'clock parade in Magic Kingdom and have a sit down concert in Epcot. They are staying, I think, at one of the All Stars resorts.

My band went down to disney and universal last spring. we stayed off site at a double tree hotel. We marched down main street with another band (columbine high school, actually), but not before a parade. It was definitely the best marching experience I've ever had, though! And disney is SO much fun with friends.

We're going to myrtle beach too! Are you doing the fiesta val competition? We went there my freshman year also.
