Any band geeks out there like me? If you haven't already guessed, i play Sax and Bassoon. Sax for marching and bassoon for marching. :thewave:

ah I was just gonna make a post like this. I play trombone, bass drum, and baritone. Trombone for marching season and bass drum for indoor drumline. We've got band camp this week and I'm totally red.

We started band camp today, and this freshman flute was jaywalking a got hit by a car. She flipped over the car, yet she didn't break a bone, just really bruised. DONT'T JAYWALK. And I am in tenth grade

I wanted to play violin, but my school is all woodwinds. I then wanted to play guitar, but they dont have a jazz type thing.

yep we started yesterday , it is going to be hard, because we lost so many and gained so few. We are 5a school, and only have like 140, with guard. And to all future posters, say what grade you are in, if you are comfortable with it

sure, I'm going into 10th grade, however I go to private school and we dont have Marching Band, but we do have a really good concert band, we win competitions and stuff.... but yeah 10th.

I've played the flute since 4th grade, and the piano since 3rd grade. I play the flute for marching and concert season, and the piano for jazz band. I'll be a senior this year.

Our band camp is August 15-19, 5-9 pm every night. Except we kinda don't have a band room, since they're doing major renovations on the school and they knocked it down at the beginning of the summer, and the new one's not exactly finished. We might not even start school on time if they don't finish the new wing!

I'm about to be a freshman now in high school. I've been playing the trumpet since 4th. I'm in Competition band, Marching, and one more I think...... Pretty much anything they tell me too. This next week I have to go to a band camp. It'll be nine hours a day, for 5 days! I'm not going to make it either! I'll go crazy mid-lesson. I have to have my 7 sheets of music memorized too. I don't know how I will make it this year. Plus all my honors classes.

The guard captains/co-captains (including me, i'm a co-capt) and the drum majors just got back froma FJM clinic camp thingy at Monmouth University yesterday. it was SOOOO much fun.

and our actually band camp starts on monday. yay. lol

What is your field shows this year? Ours is songs from the movie Ray (which means Ray Charles songs...)

I am in colorguard, and I play the clarinet in concert band. This is my senior year (so sad). We had band camp last week and the week before that. I am very red. Has anyone marched at WDW? I have 2 times. I did this past April in the MK electrical parade!!! It was so great!!!!!

I'm a guardie too! Heck yes! lol...it def counts as being "in band" especially if you play other instruments...I play violin cello piano and flute...and I sing, 3 months till the Rent movie...you theater geeks must be as excited as I am! lol...

I'm going into 10th grade, missing band camp this year. Oh how sad.
