Someone posted a really good recipe awhile back for banana pudding using the Pepperidge Farms chessmen cookies. I printed it out but now I can't find it. Does anyone know the recipe??

Is this it? It's a Paula Deen recipe.

Not Yo Mama's Banana Pudding:
2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies
6 to 8 bananas, sliced
2 cups milk
1 (5-ounce) box instant French vanilla pudding
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (12-ounce) container frozen whipped topping thawed, or equal amount sweetened whipped cream

Line the bottom of a 13 by 9 by 2-inch dish with 1 bag of cookies and layer bananas on top.
In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using a handheld electric mixer. Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture. Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended. Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas and cover with the remaining cookies. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

That looks good. I'll have to try it! Thanks for sharing.

This is the quick and easy receipe that I use and people fight over it at parties......

3 boxes instant vanilla pudding
5 cups of milk
1 12 oz. coolwhip
8 oz sour cream

bananas and vanilla wafers

prepare pudding with milk and let set for 5 minutes. Mix in coolwhip and sour cream.

Using a large glass bowl put in a layer of cookies, a layer of bananas and a layer of the pudding mixture. Repeat until there is no more goop. Let pudding sit for 3 hours and enjoy! This makes enough for a party size pudding. For a smaller pudding use 1 box of pudding, 2 cups of milk, 8 oz of coolwhip and 4 oz of sour cream.

That is it, Thank you so much!!!! :goodvibes

my mom made that last week and it was YUMMMMMMMMYYYYY :) :) :)

Sour cream in pudding???? :confused3

Yes, sour cream!!!! It cuts the somewhat artificial taste of the instant pudding. This receipe is a little less sweet than other banana pudding that I have tasted. Once it is made you cannot even tell that you used it. Try it, you just might like it!

My friend made the Banana pudding - the #2 post recipe from Paula Deen and it was DELICIOUS!

There is nothing like real cooked banana pudding......
