Bama Ed Has A New Camper

Hah....I'm just glad the picture of me isn't too clear....if it wasn't for the A-liner, I wouldn't show it in public !

I know I'm late to the party, but Ed I love your new camper. I'm a little bit obsessed with Aliners in particular, so I'm jealous! (I spent way too long on the internet a few weekends ago, looking for Aliners for sale that I cannot currently afford. Hahaha.)

Obsessed? Ummm...yeah me too!!
So I stumble onto this thread via my interest of always wanting to camp (camper style) at Disney. I did it with my family back in the late 70's and have many fond memories of Disney and many other camping adventures.

I am a lurker on the camping thread as I have no camper or no Disney plans :( But, boy have I been bitten by the Aliner bug thanks to Bama Ed and KristinU.

I too have looked on line and even plan to tour the factory in PA on a summer vacation we have planned. I am hoping this might help get my husband on board, to actually see one and its ease. We have a 4 year old son and I think an Aliner would suit us well for 3-5 years and then move up to something else. I had always only considered a pop up.

We always drive across country to our relatives and other vacation destinations. I must say I like the Aliner for all the reasons and pictures from Bama Ed and KristinU. :)

We can be Aliner Lurker Buddies, Denise! :cheer2:

(We do "camping" with my parents in their massive RV, which doesn't really feel like camping....not that I'm complaining, it's comfy! Just not camping. My husband isn't a LOVER of camping like I am, so I don't know if we'll ever actually get one unless we inherit the one from my folks. Maybe one day he'll warm up to my Aliner dream. :))

My dealer, Southland RV outside Atlanta, has a cute little Aliner Scout on their website that just sold:

http://www.southlandrv.com/georgia/atlanta/pop-up-camper.html

It was only $10k and that included some really nice options. Check it out before it comes off their page.

Denise/cantwait, I was up around the Aliner factory last summer (actually south of Pittsburgh and the factory would have been 45 minutes away) but only from Thursday to Sunday and I wanted to stay and take the tour (only given on Tuesdays) but I didn't have the vacation time for the 2 extra days. But like you, I'm still going to try if I am ever in that neck of the woods.

Bama Ed

PS - the Classic on that web page has a rear dormer over the couch/sofa bed and a front storage tray which are pretty cool.

Congrats BamaEd, Hope you enjoy the new rig. it looks nice. I drove 6 hours to Atlanta when I bought my first camper. It was a Jayco Popup from 3 Way Campers. That was a few years ago. Take care
