Baltimore BOT-Fest

Jodi: I love the name of the non-profit. If I have any artistic inspiration I'll let you know. As for the 5's---- quiet is tough! I managed about 1/2 mile of "quiet running" before I felt my calves trying to explode and started to thud my feet down. Gotta work on that I suppose.

Don't worry about being too quiet....just a rule of thumb kinda thing...I don't follow my own advice enough ;).

OK people. Can we ALL just sign up for the Providence R&R 1/2 Marathon in August???? I think it's on the the 3rd. I haven't signed up yet, but I have a hotel room :rotfl2:. Seriously. This could be pretty feasible to everyone, no? Except maybe Collen & Chester :sad1:.

Chester - So are you doing Hartford or Baltimore? Happy Birthday!!

Jodi
It looks like Howard stepped up and took the lead on this one - so it will be Baltimore this year. I haven't registered yet but I guess I should. The price goes from $85 to $95 tomorrow.

Howard - Ready to get your butt kicked again this Sunday in Danbury?

Cam - So great seeing you last week. Tell Jason & Simone I said hello! See you Sunday!

Jodi~ I told you it would take a few days for me to get over here and it has. I'm also impressed with your long (but winded) post. :rolleyes1 It's nice to see you remember most of the BOTs by name. As for Danbury this weekend, I'll do what I always do: My Best! I have a feeling it'll be somewhat "chilly" at the start. It looks like there has been no significant snow :headache: accumulation today and both Saturday and Sunday look like lows around 35 and highs of 51. :beach:

I'll let Cam know you posted something for her here. She doesn't get here much, she does post on the Disney Magic Cruise thread though for our upcoming cruise.

Also, I'll check with Cam on the Providence RnR race. That is on Cam's birthday. Not sure she'll want to be out of town for that one.

If you can make it to Tequila Mockingbird for dinner with us on Saturday I would like that! So, you must come. I cannot be let down prior to a race, I just won't stand for it. :rolleyes1

Judy~ I am looking forward to seeing you and Charlie tomorrow and staying at the Pavarini B & B.

Chester~ It would be awesome for everyone to join me in Baltimore! It is close enough to Wilmington for me (and who ever wants to stay with us) to drive down that morning for the race. This should save hotel costs, transportation, etc. for some BOTS. We could also host a BOT-Fest/Love-In/Carb Loading Frenzy like we did in the past too. :thumbsup2

In other news, Cam and I may be considering the Wine & Dine Half in WDW this fall. We will be (hopefully) empty nesters by that time (or close to it) and we may take a quick weekend trip!:dance3::thumbsup2

I am on Day 91 of the 100 Day Challenge and doing well. I have lost about 10 pounds since January 1 and have significantly lowered my BMI however it is not out of the "Overweight" classification just yet. :headache: I will continue with the Boot Camps into the next session and continue with Wii Active 2 until I reach my weight and BMI goals. It is my hope that my level of fitness will assist with my pace during my upcoming races. I am definitely thinner, stronger and lighter, but I need to run smarter. :thumbsup2

Jen~ Don't worry about the noise with the 5 Fingers. Jodi sounded like she was running with Swim Fins at the NYC Half Marathon and she PR'ed! :thumbsup2 Noise must be okay!

CindyLouBQ~ Best of luck with the BOSTON MARATHON! Enjoy your taper and the event. Represent us well (as usual).

Matt & Cindy~ I hope your home is filled with love, soft baby sounds and happiness. Keep posting photos on FB. I can't wait to meet Callum and Gavin.

Colleen~ Hi! I miss you! Hope everything is going well for you and the family!

Sara~ Post a cruise report here!

Dave~ How's the healing process going? Any news to report?

Lou~ Glad to see your business doing so well. I hope you can still carve some time out for running! Please sign up for Baltimore!

Leslie~ How is the Hip Flexor doing? I have only had one incident with my right side and luckily it went away without any major issues. Have you asked your father? He is a well of knowledge. :thumbsup2

I will post after the Danbury Half this weekend. I am looking forward to a very good time amongst friends.

:grouphug:

Well, let's see, I took the day off from the gym on Monday and hammered it with Advil and ice, gave a slight break, then an icy hot patch, gave it another slight break, then used the heating pad. I think it just cried Uncle and decided to feel almost normal on Tuesday. Too bad it didn't feel that way on Monday since my boss's boss said I was walking in a way like I hurt my back. Luckily it'll be in the 80s on Sunday so during my next game it won't get cold and seize up again.

Looks like Baltimore is the fall marathon. If Chester's signing up I'M signing up!! Let's do this, people!!:woohoo:

LOVE the new name, Colleen! Looks like Baltimore's the place to be BOT this fall!

Did you all see the message I sent about a BOT cruise on DCL out of NYC in the summer of 2012? Let's do it, people. Either August 5 or 13, whichever's cheaper. I'm booking on Thursday! :cool1::thumbsup2

The info's being released tomorrow, but Gold CC members can starting booking Thurs., I believe. Silver members & the masses on Friday! August 5th works for me. Maybe if we all go we can get a group rate? :rotfl:

Hey Horace - Are you trying to peddle fat cream or are you a runner?

Thanks Dave, yes, it was a beautiful day here in NC!

Good morning! Glad to hear you had a nice day for your birthday!

Hey BOTS - Anyone booked those DCL, NYC cruises yet?

So Baltimore is the fall BOT Marathon. Be there, buttheads!

Bruce & I are off to VT for the weekend - celebrating our 10 year anniversary a week or so late. We're going to stay @ the inn we got married at, The Equinox. :lovestruc.....oh puh-LEASE! ;)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Jodi, how was your 10th anniversary?:confused3

I just made final payment for our 4 day Disney Dream cruise. I think 4 days will be a little short. Thinking about trying for the Discovery Cove discount tickets to extend the trip a little.

It was great, Colleen! :thumbsup2 Thanks for asking! We had terrific weather...even went for a run together one morning. :sad2: So bummed to be back. How goes it down in NC?

Hi Bots. Trying to take it easy this weekend. Lots of carb loading. I went to the Expo yesterday and had a great time. The Expo is just massive. I bought myself a few treats as this is likely my last Boston for a while. Winter training is just too tough especially now that I have a full time job.

I've lowered my expectations for Monday just hoping that I'll be able to finish without a catostrophic blowout but am secretly hoping I can get in under 4 1/2 hrs. I'll be posting on FB so you can get the report there or follow me on baa.org #20410.

Have a great weekend everyone.
Cindy

How was it? Marathon Monday is one of two days that I REALLY miss Boston. Hope you had fun :thumbsup2

How did Boston go CindyLou?

Hi Jodi, where in Vermont is the Equinox? It sounds familiar.

Hi Colleen, and to everyone else.

Been really busy with work and things the past couple weeks. I had Yehaa Bob Jackson (from WDW) come to Geneseo, NY for a benefit concert for GKTW. It was a lot of fun, but I was on my feet too much that day. We raised nearly $500 for GKTW, but my leg was majorly swollen and hurting by the end of the day.

I've been trying to swog in the pool 3-4 days/week, but I feel like I'm getting very out of shape. I'm secretly hoping I can walk/run our local Rochester Marathon in September. We'll see.

Oh, I'm very excited to be going down to WDW in May for the re-opening of Star Tours and the first Star Wars Weekend. It should be a lot of fun, and the whole family is going! :thumbsup2
