Okay, so late June works for us, but it would have to be late June of 2012 on the Fantasy or Dream?

I'm already booked on the DIS Unplugged Podcast Cruise on the Dream June 24, 2012. 5 day cruise with a double dip at Castaway Cay.

Hmmmm....perhaps we could sign up for this cruise NOT a part of the DIS Unplugged thingie. Don't know. Bruce & I are going on a 7 day in Jan of '12....might be hard to swing another in June. I'd be willing to try, though!!

Okay, just looked at cruise prices for June 24th and other dates next summer. Those were are for 4-5 day cruises.

Maybe look at December 15th, 2012 to San Juan and St. Thomas on Fantasy. I would consider taking the kids out of school a few days because the prices are so much better.

Does the DIS unplugged people have a group rate we could piggy back on for June 24th? The rates on the Disneycruise.com site are really high for that cruise.

They do, but I don't know what it is. You could always sign up for the Podcast cruise, but then ignore all the DIS Unplugged stuff too.

Hello Bots,

Looking at FB pictures it looks like they had nice sunny weather for the Princess. That sure beats the 6 inches of snow we are getting today. Luckily I altered my schedule and got out for my LR yesterday. I did 15. I know I'm a bit behind in my training so I've been trying to make up for it by running farther than my body is ready for. I'm pretty sure my body is trying to tell me it's not ready for 15 yet. My legs hurt so much after I was done. I took an ice bath when I got back even though I was chilled through from running in 30 degree weather for 2 1/2 hrs. I think I may cut it back to 12 for next week then do 16 the week after that. I still have 4 weeks of training before I start my taper. I'd rather go into this race undertrained rather than injured.

Colleen: The difference in price for those cruises is remarkable. Is that per person for the week? It sort of makes a week at WDW seem inexpensive.

Dave: I hope the recovery is going well. I thought of you while I was out on my run yesterday. I didn't really want to go, but I reminded myself that at least I had a choice, unlike my BOT friend.

Jodi: When/where is the relay you are signed up for?

Howard: Hope you aren't snowed-in in SE Mass today.

Jen: Thanks for posting some pics on FB of the Princess. Hope you had fun.

Kathy: I believe I saw mention of a PR? Congrats.

Whoo hooo! I was thinking of you and Matt over the weekend Cindy, and wondering when the babies were due. Good luck!!!

You were on my mind because at the end of last week I was supposed to be in DC for the committee meeting for the Society for Neuroscience. I was bummed I couldn't come and see you guys.

I am starting to feel better. Thanks Cindy. I am doing a lot better with my exercises, sleep a lot better, and my pain pills have been decreasing. I can even take a few steps without crutches.

Tomorrow I see my Doctor for the first time since the surgery on 2/14. I'm hoping I get a lot of answers then. Basically, I have a lot of unknowns don't know when I can go back to work, when I can drive, etc. I'll let you all know what she says - that is, if you care, if not - just ignore. That means you Jodi!

Chester - Spencer's birthday is on the 25th, too! I think THIS is when Cindy & Matt's BBs should arrive , but no one is consulting me.

Dave - C'mon, dude. You know I'm hoping you feel better. Write questions down before you get to the Doc so you don't forget when you're there! I want answers!! You need to start running again!

CindyBQ - I'd almost forgotten that you were running Boston again. A 15 miler run the other day is plenty of training...don't sweat it!

Colleen, EH? - What's up Canada? Can't do those Dec. dates in '12. Just pull your kids outta school in Feb '13 already!! You can teach them more in a day on the boat than those bozos @ their school can during that week!!

Jen - Congrats again on the Princess! Sounds like a good time was had by all!!

I'm thinkin' a summer race, people. Why doesn't everyone come up to RI for that RnR in Providence in August? ........we need commitments, people! Wait - Chester isn't gonna wanna come up for just a 1/2...back to the drawing board. There's always Hartford in Oct. or Baltimore...

Cindy: Glad things are going well. Really enjoy this last month. It's really the last time that everything is about you. Once the babies come they are center stage and you're in the wings. I guess that's how it should be, but...

Jodi: I'm hoping to get a few longer runs in, but if not, oh well. There's only so many hours in a day. I just think I'll hurt a whole lot less during the race if I get a few more miles in now.

Hello Bot-friends: I just got back from the first doctor's appointment since my surgery on 2/14. I didn't see the doctor, but a nurse practicioner. She said I'm healing well and look good, but I can't go back to work until I'm off of the pain meds.

Evidently, working while taking narcotics is generally frowned upon. Sheesh, who knew??? Like I'd be the first employee taking narcotics on the state payroll. I'm going to see if I can wean off the Percocet this week, switch to Tylenol, and go back to work next week.

Here's the x-ray before they did surgery.

Here's the x-ray they took today showing the rod they inserted into the tibia. You can see the break in the fibula too, but they don't do anything for that - just let it heal on its own.

DW's been doing a heroic job taking care of me and the family. She's running everyone everywhere since I can't drive. I'm very, very thankful. OK, I think that's about it. Talk to you all later.

Oh Dave, I'm so sorry. Why don't you just send those drugs down here? We are doing bathroom renovations and I could really use some good drugs. BIG props to Mrs Mouse Skywalker for taking such good care of you. Of course she is doing everything. I don't know if you've noticed but WOMEN RUN THE WORLD.
