Balsamic vinegar anyone?

I just got caught :blush: :blush:

I went for lunch; ate my salad at my desk. It was in one of those plastic thingys. I can't resist the balsamic vinegar at the bottom, so I am slurping it up and my boss walks by :blush: I could do shots of this stuff!! Anyone else strangely addicted to balsamic vinegar? :teeth:
 
I've had it on my spinach salad all week...It is yummy!

Try it on a sub sandwich too instead of mayo... :thumbsup2
 
For me , balsamic vinegar is close to ketchup as far as condiment goes:

I put it on popcorn , on summer tomatoes , on pasta etc.

One of the very good thing I do with balsamic is mix some fresh strawberries , a little sugar ( if the vinegar is from the suoermarket , but no sugar with the expensive stuff !) and let it macerate a little. I serve it on plain cheesecake or vanilla ice scream.

I always have the supermarket/cosco stuff for everyday cooking and the really good stuff when I want the vinegar to shine, like with tomatoes basil and fresh parmesan curl. I dream of the day when I will taste the real stuff that is almost $200 a small bottle and is supposed to be close to paradise !

HIDDEN VALLEY, CA–A radical Balsamic fundamentalist group detonated an estimated 800 pounds of TNT at the Hidden Valley Ranch compound Monday, killing 11 and injuring dozens more. "Let no salad again be foully tainted by the corrupt regime of Hidden Valley," said Martin Pulaski, leader of the Nation Of Balsam, in a statement claiming responsibility for the deadly attack. "We shall not rest until every salad's flavor is enhanced by a light and tangy vinaigrette, not buried in a shameful avalanche of buttermilk."
 

Putting it on french fries with kosher salt is heavenly! When I waitressed this was a nightly staple at the end of my shift.

I love to mix it with olive oil, black pepper, garlic powder, oregano and basil and put in on baby spinach! :cloud9:

I love it, too. In addition to doing shot of it and slurping up the salad plate, I also mix it with canned tuna, along with garlic, parmesan, and pepper. I use it in marinades. I love it on fresh tomatoes in the summer.

I love, love, love balsamic vinegar! I really love to get the Mcdonald's salads with the balsamic dressing, and like you, I make sure every bit of it is gone. I even ask for an extra packet and I eat it with crackers when I get home. Yummy :love:
 
We saute onions in it to put on our burgers! I use it in lots of recipes so we go through a ton of it.
 
I really like Balsamic too! :) My favorite is a Grilled Chicken Sandwhich on Crusty Italian bread with Balsamic on it! YUM
