I have a rather strange question. My daughter, who is 5, has Asperger's syndrome. We will be traveling to WDW for the first time this summer, partly to celebrate her and her brother's birthday and partly to celebrate getting appropriate education services for our daughter after a long fight with a Cruella-like principal.
The trip will be a surprise for our children.
Since Christmas, whenever the Disney "What Will You Celebrate?" commercials have played on TV, my daughter has said that she wants the Mickey balloons from the commercial and an invitation for her birthday. (I don't think she even realizes that WDW is a destination -- she wants the balloons and "letter"!) I would love to find some of these balloons for her birthday, when we reveal the surprise trip. Maybe put them in a box and have the balloons rise up when she opens it. Does anyone know where to find the particular balloons that appear in the commercial or know who I might be able to ask at WDW? What department?
I know that we can always get Mylar balloons from the local party store, but I would love to be able to find the ones my daughter loves. You know how it is when our kids with autism/ASD focus on something specific that they love.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
