Oh, I completely agree. I know many people who milk the system and live off of it, but I also know people who are actually embaressed to need to be on welfare. Because, just 1 year ago they had their life all together. College fund for the kids, plenty of money to live comfortably, and poof, it's all gone in a second.
I feel bad for
those people.
My mom works for DHS (aka welfare office) & I also worked there for a couple of summers, so I know what it's all about.
Unfortunately, there are many many selfish, lazy people who use the system. But what never gets mentioned, are the people who are just in a slump right now. Hardworking individuals who get off welfare as soon as they can.
I missed most of the speech, but if he did say that, then good for him. & the money is coming out of thin air, adding to the trillions and trillions of dollars we're already in debt.
