we are considering a disney cruise. we just have one thing to decide.....Caribbean or Bahamas. We went on a Bahamas cruise a few years ago with carnival....nassau wasn't the best.....but thinking about trying it again...of course that was 2006....maybe things have changed. we may also try a caribbean cruise. we really like the western itinerary.

Caribbean.

Nassau hasn't improved since 2006. We were there last year and its continued to go downhill.

Thanks for responding. There is a Double Dip Bahamas Cruise in December on the Magic. The bad news........it goes to the terrible NASSAU!!!!! :scared1: but we go to CC twice. :) On the Nassau day we may just stay on ship.
the option is the 7 night East caribbean new year cruise on Wonder. The bad thing about that is that it runs into the school schedule. The double dip cruise fits into schedule though.....

(both cruises are during new year 2010)

Staying on board is a wonderful option. We're doing another DCL 4 night cruise in December and aren't planning on leaving the ship when in Nassau. If we were to go, it would be only to go over to look around at Atlantis.

If we go on that cruise, we will only leave the ship to go to a restaurant and maybe a store to give friends and family something at home . It gives us time to explore the ship! an even better option would be to go to the caribbean. I think that is what we will do. now we must decide whether to do the western or eastern

I'd recommend doing a Caribbean cruise if possible. These are generally 7 nights or longer on Disney.

The 3, 4 and 5 night Disney cruises from Port Canaveral visit Nassau. If do another Bahamas cruise, we'll stay onboard at Nassau. We were just at Nassau three weeks ago and it wasn't that great IMO compared to stops in the Caribbean.

This is one of the primary reasons we're waiting until 2012 for the Fantasy vs taking a Bahamas cruise on the Dream.

Now that i think about it, a Caribbean cruise would be better. there is a 7 night cruise over new year on the wonder and we might do that. I like your idea of waiting until they announce the Fantasy itinerary. I heard that the Fantasy will go to the Caribbean, but Disney has not officially announced 2012 itineraries.
