Hello

We are renting a vacation home from March 14th to the 21st and as part of this community you get to use the facilities at Bahama Bay Resort. Has anyone stayed there before? Is it worth it to go there for us (me, dh, dd-4, dd-19mos, and grandparents)? I guess for us the draw would be a good playground and child friendly pools. It would be nice to find some kids to play with for our oldest, as I do not know if the community pool in High Grove is complete yet.

Thank you :flower1:

We stayed last Aug 2004 and it was very good. There was, however, still some building work going on. The beach was not finished and many of the condos were still under construction.

The pool next to the clubhouse was open as the others were not finished. It was a bit small. We did not see any childrens play areas.

Would we go back ? Yes definately. :cool1:

I have stayed at Bahama Bay twice and found it to be very clean, bright, and quite luxurious. The pool area is very nice and I would think it would be family friendly. We didn't use it since the hurricanes had just gone through shortly before our last stay and there were palm branches still down in the guest areas. But the construction had ended in the area we stayed in, so it was very peaceful. I would highly recommend it as a good choice for a family.

from Vistapark Resort, which is literally just up the street form the BBR. (Florence Villa Grove Road)

GREAT location, and we took a drive around the property...it looks just beautiful:)

Have fun!!

Bahama Bay is coming along nicely and it has a great restaurant too .It is not too far from High Grove but coming from that direction it can be a bit tricky to spot .Just remember to turn left just after what could well be the only remaining orange grove in the county into Florence Villa Grove Road and you will find BB just at the bottom of the road on your left. After you have passed two entrances to Lake Davenport Estates and Hillcrest on your left. The area is good -but then I am biased.
