Hi,

I hope it's ok to ask this here, if not please feel free to delete.

We're planning to get married in october 2006, with 17 people including us a disney wedding is out of the question, so we've found a company called www.getmarriedinflorida.com and we like the Bahama Bay one, our 1st choice was swan and dolphin then we went onto cypress grove, but we don't want to go there now, so we we're wondering if anyone had, had there wedding there and what it was like.

Many Thanks,

Charmed xxx :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Charmed, I might suggest posting on the budget Board. I know that there are some real nice chappels near WDW. I have also seen some good strategies for inexpensive Disney Weddings....

never heard of it, sorry. but i have heard of other brides on the dis getting married at the leu gardens in orlando which is a beautiful garden setting. if you're still considering venues.

best of luck & congrats.

Hi charmed! Your post could of been written by me! :cool1:
WE too have considered having our wedding at Bahama bay and I have looked at the very site you mentioned!

Actually we might be STAYING at bahama bay in a 2 bed condo...they look gorgeous...totally luxurious and the whole resort looks fantastic with the beach and everything.
If we stay at bahama bay then it would make sense for us to marry there, and if we stay at AKL then we are thinking of getting married at The littlewhite wedding chapel in kissimee.

Its so hard to decide...i love the idea of AKL and staying on disney but I also love the bAhama bay idea.

Either way, after my ceromony whereever it takes place we are going to be limoed over to the Grand floridan for a meal at Victoria and alberts, and then sroll along the GF beach watching wishes! bliss :flower:

What plans do you have for after the wedding?

By the way My wedding is in October! :wave2:

OH by the way Charmed...I see you are from manchester! :earsboy:
Iam in Liverpool :flower:

Question, Tallym and Charmed, did you look into the lower end wedding packages. YOU BRITS (LOL) usually spend a couple of weeks here, so the discounted room rate might be enough to pay a good chunk of the ceremony;). Seriously, they have a little gazeebo on the Boardwalk (before the bridge to EPCOT) that I saw a small wedding taking place in. It might not hurt to make the call to FTW to find out how inexpensively you can do the wedding actually on property. JMHO...

Hi Tallym,

Thank you for replying, I still haven't found anything else out about bahama bay, I think I will e-mail getmarriedinflorida, for more info, I'd like to see more wedding pictures from there, if I get anything I'll let you know, we're not sure what to do after the wedding as we are having a party once we get home, but we'll have to do something with all of those people, LOL, I only want a little quite wedding, no fuss, we're both quite shy and would rather their wasn't as many people coming, by the way most of them invited themselves.

Is your wedding oct this year.

Thank you Ohanafamily for your idea,

Take care,

Charmed x :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :love1:

hi ohanafamily
i thought you could only have your wedding at one of the 5 locations that are on the disney site now i am getting confused :confused3 me and my partner have decided to get married after many years together :) we are trying to do it on a budget (considering how much the actual holiday costs without the wedding)but i do want to be married somewhere on disney we were also considering not having the reception (due to us both being quite shy and also not wanting much fuss)just maybe a meal in a deluxe resort we will also have our 2 boys with us who will be 14 and 11 at time of marrying (hoping for may 2007)i am at a loss and just don't know how or where to get married to keep costs down :confused3 i am open to suggestions anybody?

Did you get a quote from www.justmarry.com for a swan wedding?? They are so affordable, we had 16 people at our wedding (our entire wedding/wedding dinner/dress/favors,airfare/resort stay/spending money ...EVERYTHING) cost us just over 10,000...The wedding part of it was minimal compared on what we paid for the vacation part of our trip ( 2 weeks at disney).
