Bags that fly free..?

This might be a silly question but I really don't know the answer to it....Southwest says first two bags fly free and JetBlue says the first bag flies free. Does that mean each person gets 1 or 2 bags to fly free or is that one for the whole family? We have 7 of us so if we fly JetBlue we'd have 7 bags fly free...Plus our carry on?

It's 2 Bags per Person (in addition to Carry-Ons) on Southwest. We love them and will only fly with them. But yes, it works the same way with JetBlue (1 per person), which I think is awesome.
