Hey, all you Baggalinni owners!

I just bought my first one for my trip to DL on Sunday (yay!!), but my friend mentioned that she thought it would be too big to take on the rides. Have any of you experienced problems taking it on rides and, if so, which ones? I really want to have it with me so I can store all my snacks, bottled water, camera etc., without having to run back and forth to a locker.

Single-digit dance goin' on here!! :cool1:

Hi, Cathy!

I, too, just got a Baggallini for the first time ever just before my trip last weekend. I had read so much about them on DISboards that I had to get one (mine was the black crinkle nylon kind). I had to take some time to get used to it, because it never seemed to rest in a place I was comfortable with on my body, and it would shift around, but I usually just took it off on rides and set it on the floor or in the little baggage compartment (like on Soarin'). I suppose I could have shifted it around to avoid the safety bar on most of the rides, but I didn't. And on things like Pirates, it was no problem. I just wore it right on the ride. It is not as big as I expected it to be. It it pretty compact but holds a bunch of stuff!

I've taken mine multiple times to both DL and WDW and it fits fine on all rides, including those with bag pockets like Cali Screamin and Soarin.

I love mine. It was a life saver at WDW. It fit on all the rides. I loved all the little compartments. I could always get my hands on what ever I needed.

Muchas, muchas gracias to all of you!!

I think my friend saw the pic and thought it was a huge backpack-sized bag. I couldn't remember if Cali Screamin' had a bag holder on it, so thanks for reminding me that it did. (Haven't decided yet if I'll be riding that one yet, though. haha) I think she forgot that most of those rides have bag holders. I tried videotaping Indy once, and lasted about 10 seconds before throwing the camera in the holder. It was either that, or have it fly out of my hands during the ride. :rotfl2:

Today's my last day of work. How am I going to concentrate??

1) I looooove my Bagg.

2) Most of the time I don't even take it off on rides- I just slide it around so that it's sitting on my side.

3) Enjoy your bagg!

I also must apologize for the (probable) misspelling of the name of the bag (or "bagg" - too cute!). Too many g's, l's and n's in there for me to remember... :)

So I am hearing very mixed reviews on these bags. I am hearing that they are great to carry everything in but are very uncomfortable. besides having the newest "toy" on the forum, are they really worth it? Are they better than a normal backpack would be?

I do really like mine.

But it has two issues.

If I let it hang down to where it's easy to swing it around and get to stuff, and so I don't feel like I have a monkey clinging to me, it hurts my back. So I have to make sure the strap is really tight and it's tight to my body. Which doesn't feel that flattering, but oh well. I've long since given up cuteness for comfort!

The other issue was that when I did have it up tight onto my back, the velcro on the side pocket cut my arm. I didn't even realize it until 1 or 2 days later, when I was in a shower and the water hurt that part of my arm. I had a NASTY set of scratches from the velcro hitting me as I swung my arms back and forth. Very weird!

It's bigger inside than it seems from the outside, it has various pockets, and despite my issues it's basically comfortable.

I didn't put it in pockets on Indy or Screamin'. I just swung it to my side so it was secure. Because of the fabric, it slides easily along the cloth of clothing, so moving it around for rides is easy.

I never have troubel with my bagg being uncomfortable, but I do notice that when I adjust the strap it doesn't stay where I put it. It always slides all the way down again within twenty minutes.

They ARE great, but I also have the black crinkle material and FYI it WILL pill your yoga pants if they are made of cotton. The only solution for this is if you do not allow your bag to sit below your hip.

SherryE ... did you find yours was a problem?

I didn't have the pilling problem that I anticipated - and typically, I am prone to that! But I did have the Bagg sliding all around, not quite staying in place, turning horizontal and what not. So I felt like I constantly had to check it and make sure the water bottle was in place and the Bagg was sitting in the right spot! I probably didn't need to fuss with it as much as I did, but it never quite stayed where I wanted to, and always wanted to tip sideways. I can't believe it didn't pill my pants or my jacket! I got lucky there!

Well, I tried mine on and walked around, and I figure since I have a rather large derriere :lmao: , it sits pretty nicely on that. I will practice some more later when I get home.

Thank you again for all of your comments and assistance. I really appreciate all of you!

My booty is big, too, and I guess the Bagg did rest on it, but maybe because of what I had inside the Bagg, it kept wanting to tip on its side!! Keep practicing!

I have the messenger bag and use it every time I travel. Never had a problem with it at WDW so I'm not anticipating a problem at DL. And I've been able to put a camcorder (hand sized) and digital camera among other things and never thought it was too heavy or bulky. Not taking the camcorder this time though.

I got one a few years ago, but didn't end up liking it. It seemed a little bulky for me, and the magnetic closure de-magnatized my hotel room key, which was a real drag at 11:00 at night with 3 sleepy children!

I only took it on that one trip. I got a waist pack that I like much better now.

I'm here at DL using my messenger Bagg right now. I like it except for one thing: The clips for adusting hit around my collarbone, and my collarbone felt bruised the first couple of days. I found myself holding the strap away, till I got used to adjusting it so it wasn't sitting right on my collarbone. On rides, I found that I can easily swing it around to the front and over the restraint bar, or slide the strap down over my arm so it's around my waist-- it's easy to maneuver. I started out wearing it close to my body, but when it's not loaded down I let it hang pretty loose. I found I can also sling it on the wrong way, on the other shoulder, for a little while just to shift the weight.

I really like it! Better than a fanny pack or a backpack. Much more manueverable.

Thanks, Gail! I just decided I'm going to use mine as my carryon on the plane, too. I couldn't believe how much I could fit in there: my wallet, iPod, glasses, camera, and even a Glamour Magazine. If I can squeeze a 6" Subway sandwich in there, too, I'll be all set! I don't really mind wearing it because the weight is distributed pretty evenly and I don't get a shoulder ache from lugging around a duffel bag. Love, love, love it!! (Much easier to use if you're small-busted, too. Never thought that would be a "plus". LOL!)
