I'm an idiot! I left my bag on the restroom door hook on Sunday, filed a report right away, and called back today. (tuesday)
Should I assume by now that I will never see it again? Or does it take awhile to process everything?
Luckily, it was mostly snacks, but also:
*DH's electronic cigarette
*Portable battery charger
*my pin lanyard
and, the saddest of all
*DD5's pin lanyard
Both of our pin lanyards had about 15 pins a piece on them. The battery charger was over $100. The e-cig was about $50.
I really hope Karma catches up with the dirty thief that decided to keep my stuff. Why can't the world be an honest place anymore. I am losing my faith in mankind.

That's sad. We lost a silly little blanket that wrapped around a minnie mouse we bought there. Someone actually turned that in. Like went to the EFFORT to turn it in. So I have high hopes for you. Maybe they will get a pang of guilt. Or maybe they didn't have time yet but want to still?

I hope your bag gets turned it, keep postiive thoughts. There are a few good honest people still out there, unfortunately, there are way more bad people than good I believe :( A couple months ago a women in front of me at CVS was paying for her items and dropped a $100 bill, no one saw, she didn't even know, I only realized it once she walked out the store, of course, I gave it to the cashier who ran after the person, but the person didn't even offer a thank you, I would have been so happy if someone would have done that for me.

Anyhow, keep your hopes up, you never know :)

Boy, I'm sorry to hear that. I sure hope you get your stuff back. BTW, what is an e-cig?

BTW, what is an e-cig?
An electronic cigarette. My mom uses one. It's a way to still get your nicotine fix, without all the tar and smoke from regular cigarettes.

Im sorry to hear about your bag. I'm so paranoid about those hooks, either someone reaching over to grab my bag or me forgetting it's there, I never use them. Hopefully it will get turned in.

On a side note, did you have to stay in the smoking section using the electronic cigarette, or were you able to walk around since it doesn't have any smoke?

Thanks for the positive thoughts!
Yeah, DH has been on the electronic cigarette since July. It is ethylene glycol. nicotine and some flavoring, versus all of the bad stuff that cigarettes contain. He has a red and a blue one, so they could never be confused with a real cigarette. He doesn't have to stick to the smoking areas, since all it puts out is water vapor, but he isn't rude enough to use it in a crowd or line. Plus, you get all the nicotine you need in one or two puffs, so it is a lot quicker.
I still can't believe I was so irresponsible. I'm most upset about DD's lanyard, since she refused to take her keepers off, so I don't know what I am going to do the next time we go.

That's scary :scared1: I've dealt with this before. In 2008, my mickey ears flew off of California Screamin. Thank goodness I brought an extra pair. I recently lost my phone but Disney called the next day and said that they found it.

I have good expectations for you as well. I can only remember leaving something behind once. But, when we checked at lost and found there it was. Good Luck! I truly believe that the majority of people are good and honest. :tink:

Last trip, DH left his cap in the underseat basket to Soarin'. It was a radio-station giveway cap, but he refused to give up on it and kept checking lost and found. It never did turn up; however, he was stubborn enough not to buy another cap and ended up with a mighty good sunburn!

On a better note, DD4 lost her backpack at Sea World. I checked Lost and Found, they didn't have it, but they had me fill out a ticket for it. They called me a few hours later saying it had been turned in. I'm hoping yours is turned in too.

Every other time I've 'lost' something, I've realized shortly thereafter and returned through the ride exit and retrieved it - although I think I barely got to my sister's Jack Skellington hat that I had borrowed in time, as the guys that found it on BTMRR seemed pretty stoked by it and I doubt they would have turned it in had I not been there saying it was mine.

Can I add my stupid mistake to your thread?

We just got back from a wonderful week at DL!! We traveled there with just carry on luggage but purchased a bag and filled it with goodies while we were there so we checked a bag home. Well - we got to baggage claim in MCO and waited and waited. No bag after a red eye flight - great.

We went to the baggage office and were filling out a claim when I realized I left my old bag tags from out Disney Cruise on the bag!!! (I was trying to think of something unique that made my bag different! :lmao:) I was mortified!! MCO is the ONE airport where that tag really matters!!! Since I realized my mistake they were able to grab the bag before it went to the port and it was returned to us in less than an hour.

:guilty: You aren't the only one! I hope your bag turns up!! I know exactly how you feel.

My husband also left his hat in the basket on Soarin. It was special custom made hat for the HS softball team that he coaches. It was his favorite. We kept checking with lost and found the whole trip, but nothing turned up. I kept holding out hope since we were the last ride of the night. :confused3

Hope you have better luck!

I lost my wallet once at Disneyland (I have no idea where.) I reported it as soon as I realized it. They found it with everything intact (including birthday giftcards), but it took them about 4 days to call me. So don't give up hope yet!
