I'm wondering if anyone is using the Lowepro Slingshot 102? It appears to be the size that I want, but I'm wondering if I can fit my D5100 with the Nikon 18-200 VR II lens attached in the bag? Sure I could take my camera to the store and check it out personally..........but I that would take more time than typing out this note. So I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with this combination, or bag in general for that matter? I really don't like the bigger bags..........all I really want to carry would be the above combination, a external flash, and a prime lens.

well goin by what you want you suggested you should go to local photo store with your gear and try out bags. Your asking questions that is your perfence on what your looking.

Me I have 3 bags

1: Holds all of my camera equipment and I did have this same one in disney even went on big thunder rail road with a tripod.

-I suggest a Case Logic SLRC-202 SLR Camera Bag, Medium
will hold camera-lens, and flash and other small things.

I hope that helps a little bit. I like the caselogic bags do to the padded around the camera and the support system for the camera in the bag.

Thanks for the reply. I realize I'm probably being lazy and I just need to go try some combinations. I do appreciate the note about Case Logic stuff........I had not looked at them before, but I think I will add them to the list.

I have this Lowepro Slingshot bag and yes, you should be able to store your items in the manner you described.

I have a Canon D60 and leave it in the bag with the 18-200 attached. It sits in the center of the bag and the compartments on either size hold the 50mm prime lens and the external flash. There's should be a bit more room than that; I have a few more things stashed in mine.
