I had hoped to "sell" my remaining points for this yeay, but with no interest planned a President's week-end trip. All resorts, but SS were booked when I called on Monday. Did not book it, but checked and booked airfare. Called yesterday am to find out the night of the 19th is gone!!!! Since the air was purchased I booked it and now am praying for waitlist to come through. Anyone have good luck with the list with only 5 weeks to go? I could kick myself for not booking it on Monday.

I had a waitlist come through at 31 days out so you still have a chance. It was for October for the F & W time frame so don't know if that compares to the week you are looking for. You might want to check back with member services a couple of times a week also. Be sure to have them leave you on the waitlist as long as possible.
Good luck

Remember the wait list gets wiped out and is started anew at 30 days out. Then at 7 days, there is no wait list so you may want to call day by day. Make a cash back up just in case.

The good thing about SSR, is they are releasing new units to inventory as they are completed so your waitlist is not totally dependent on member cancellations.

One of the reasons, SSR always has late availability is because they don't release the room to inventory until it is completed.

I didnt book our NYE ressies (had planned to stay offsite or mod that wknd) until about 6 weeks prior and SSR came thru for us.

I have had really good luck with last minute reservations/waitlists. In October, I was able to get what I needed by calling 3 days out, even after there was no availability at the 7/6/5/4 day mark. Similar situation for December - I had several days go through at the 7 day mark, then got my last day by calling daily and had it come through at the 1 day mark.

I hope that you find success as well!

This totally makes sense, in mid November I was on the waitlist for BCV for 1 nt of my 6 nts there and availability everywhere else was spotty as well. I tried yesterday for the full six nts at SSR and the MS CM said there was plenty of availability. So I wouldn't worry quite yet, although I would have a backup just in case. FWIW, the week we ended up getting is only two weeks away now.

Also, just remembered our waitlist for VWL came through at 35 days as well.

Best Wishes!

good to hear it worked out for some people. I am very nervous!!
Is a whole section being worked on now? I didn't realize rooms were released as they were done.
thanks everyone.

I actually got a 1 BR Perferred View BWV two days out when I had my ressie split between resorts. I didn't want to have to change resorts so I just kept calling and calling. I was put on hold for about 10 minutes when the operator at Member Services said "Let me check on something" --- Well that "something" got me the whole time mid-October, Columbus Day week during F&W festival. I thought it was a miracle....stranger things have happened!
