I hope that you didn't take my previous post the wrong way, OP.
I have no issues with people spending their hard-earned money in a manner that brings them happiness. If you find joy in returning to your resort room to see your plush animals sitting in the window along with cheerful window clings, then by all means go ahead and make those purchases! It's just that I would not categorize those things as "souvenirs". KWIM?
More often than not, my souvenirs are coffee cups, fridge magnets or picture frames. Last week, I went a little overboard and purchased some perfume in Epcot on impulse. I overspent what I had intended to spend on "souvenirs" but the scent will remind me of a beautiful day spent with my daughter and niece for quite a while.
