Bad Etiquette to save a CS table??

DD and myself always go find a table while DH stands in line, once we find the table I join him in line, we do this because sometimes there are no tables available, if this is the case we wait until one opens up before getting our food. There is nothing I hate more than getting our food and then finding out that there is no table available, and by the time one opens up our food is getting cold.

So I guess we also are part of the rude group of people.

Here's the thing, when you save a table during nonbusy times, there is no problem.

When you do it during peak times, you interrupt the flow of the line. You could wait 30-40 min. while those leaving the line with their food eat standing up. Now if you wait to get a table until your family member ordering the food is close to ordering, then it isn't so much of a problem. If you get a table but see that there is a half an hour wait, you are likely preventing someone from eating at a table that would likely be finished before your food ever arrived.

I saw people saw they have never seen this happen, but it does. It happened to my DH and me at Typhoon Lagoon and also at Peco Bills. One of us got to eat while the other held the tray and then we switched. We don't have kids, and we always get in line together and bring the food out together.

Of course, while we were eating off our tray at least six people were sitting at thier tables waiting for thier food to arrive. I will say that we were finished eating before most of their food arrived.

You guys should have just sat down at one and said, "We'll move once the rest of your party gets here." That's exactly what my friend Mike does. But then again, he's not the type of person you would say "no" to, unless you are built like Arnold.

Sorry, I just can't imagine telling a stranger (even over the internet) that they are rude, selfish or unmannerly.

That is exactly what I was thinking. If you don't have something nice to say...

So that is why I am tuning out of this one...

Sorry I had to laugh at this one,my kids hungry and grouchy and the little one bouncing off the wall your friend would of ran from our table. Actually I don't think he would sit at a table full of kids and a tween, since I am sure he would not of gotten a good response from my hubby when he got screamed at from across the room from frightened kids..

The good ole USA and Disney is full of people who continually pay homage to the entitlement mentality and it's fully evident in this thread.

Folks, keep doing what you want, no one can possibly change you but when you get funny looks, or overhear snickers from others don't get all paranoid about it. Just enjoy your table and 2 hour lunch at a glorified fast food restaurant. You DESERVE the perfect vacation and damn all who would cause any glitch in that perfection.

We've only seen him do this when there was one person holding sitting at a table. I think the person was lying because no one actually showed up the entire time we sat with this poor soul eating.

Finding a table and sitting down with kids is totally different than one or two people sitting down and holding a table with vacant seats for 30 minutes. I think everyone gets this.

First of all I will admit to sending my sister to find a table while I get the food or vice versa.

For all thos who are advising that families stay together in line or wait until the inline person has the food to find a table, I just have one question: where are these people supposed to wait at? The CS resturants don't have a lot of standing room. It is better to find a table than to block the lines or be in the way.

By the way- we will give up our table or invite others to join us if that is needed.

I agree with the first part of your post but the trouble is I don't think everyone does get this. If there was just 2 of us I wouldn't save a table but with the size of our family we will continue to find a table and some sit while Dad or I order. I don't believe in being rude and I don't feel we are.
