Hi kids,

My boyfriend never gets up in the morning on vacation and never eats breakfast. I'm a huge big breakfast fan! :goodvibes

Where can I get eggs & bacon on property after noon?

I've tried four times now to find anywhere to eat breakfast for lunch, and I'm about to just give up.

Thanks!

Have you considered eating your breakfast while he sleeps in? It has worked for me during 20 years of being married to a man who doesn't eat breakfast food.

No kidding! Get up early at your finest hour, have your clothes laid out the night before and in the bathroom so you can get ready to leave the room using as little light and making as little noise as possible, tell him the night before to call you on your cell phone when he gets up but that you're going to enjoy the Disney morning. And then go somewhere wonderful for an early breakfast, do a little people watching, read the paper with some coffee, WHATEVER! But don't OVERaccomodate him. It's your vacation too! :teeth:

Book a FW Cabin or DVC 1-2-3 BR and you'll have a kitchen to make your own. Otherwise I think you're out of luck...

I also have the no breakfast sleep late on vacation boyfriend; we stayed in a studio villa last year, and I about freaked him out with the smell of coffee so 'early' in the morning! so after that first day of trying to have a relaxing morning on the patio with some coffee, a bagel and a book, I switched gears, and started either going to eat, doing laundry (it had to be done some time!) or working out while he was asleep; we're staying at the BWV again this October, and we have already agreed that he is not to be disturbed before 11 and I am free to do and go wherever I'd like, a little alone time on vacation never hurt anyone, trust me! :)

My husband and son prefer to eat cereal in the room for breakfast. I love to eat a regular breakfast and read the paper. This is what we did on our last trip.

I would get up first and get ready, then I would wake them up. I would go buy a paper and get breakfast. They would then meet me around 8 and off we go. It was a very relaxing way for me to start the morning.

I do not know of any "diner" type atmosphere that will serve breakfast after noon, unless you order room service!

Thanks everyone for your replies so far.

The main issue is we uh, haven't been married for 20 years, and we kind of have something to do besides sleep when we're "sleeping in"?

I did hear a rumor that a bunch of the breakfast buffets run until 1 p.m. now, can anyone confirm that?? I think it was Chef Mickeys and maybe the Norway Princess one?

Shoot, you can do that stuff at home. Forget about that and do the parks instead. Get some good meals. If you go to breakfast, you can even get Eggs Benedict at many different locations. Even if you could get a breakfast meal at CM or the PSB, you wouldn't get any good eggs, only scrambled.

Plus, you won't come home with some "little souveniers".

OK, my perspective, if you ever want to do Soarin' at Epcot, he's gonna have to get up early that day!

That's the day you're just gonna have to drag his butt to breakfast.

Tell him that you need to get to the parks early. Do alternate days. "Sleep in" day 1, rise early day 2, "sleep in" day 3, and so on.

I'm sure you guys can handle some alterations in your schedule. ;)

Are you implying that people who have been married for twenty years don't also like to "sleep in" at times?

Anne

I'm sure we could find some Dis-ers who would tell you that Tonga Toast is better than "sleeping in" ;)

I can't help you with your egg dilema, but I have a question.

:flower: By any chance, are you the 'Princess Buttercup' who married the 'Dread Pirate Roberts'? :flower:

well, I know you are not married, but the question still remains......

I just have to know! If not, please ignore this post. pirate:

Goodness no!!! You think I want to get flamed by every married couple on the disboards? :umbrella:

Heck, I better still be "sleeping in" in 20 years at least once in a while or I'll be very disappointed. I could say something here about pirates and cutlasses and... well, nevermind. :rotfl: pirate: :rotfl:
