I completely understand your feelings. Always felt that way myself until recently with my job problems. I came very close to doing it myself (specifically Christmas and New Years). I ended up not doing anything, but will likely transfer some fortunate person points in the near future.
Things are bad out there... people are robbing people because they don't feel they have any choice. My son was recently robbed at gunpoint while delivering pizza. It's bad.
I don't like it, but if someone needs to sell a "spec" vacation to pay the mortgage or buy groceries, then I completely understand.
Of course, who knows what the situation was with the person you reference.

I stopped at Family Dollar last week on my way home from work to pick up some soda right before closing and a man came in and robbed it!! I ran out of there sooo fast they probably thought I robbed the store. Who robs a Family Dollar! Yes, it is getting really bad!
And Im sorry, everyone supports DVC when they sacrifice the membership to make a buck, so if you own the points and can play within their ever changing rules, I have nothing else to say. They are renting with RCI at 11 months, jacking up point totals, etc.
Not saying that's what is happening here, but we are quick to judge others, but give DVC a pass.
