Will I be able to cancel if necessary like the other table service restaurants? Getting nervous to make ressie.

I didn't book BBQ, but I think it works like Cinderella's Table and Fantasmic pkg. You tell them yo're on dining plan and therefore you don't have to pre-pay the entire meal. You DO (as with all ADRs) have to give a credit card for the $10 per person no-show penalty. Nothing is charged unless you don't show up for your meal. You can cancel these reservations, BUT they require 48 hours notice vs the standard 24 at other restaurants. I believe this is actually midnight two days ahead in practice, just like others must be cancelled by midnight the night before, not a full 24 hours ahead of your exact reservation time.

No such thing as a dining credit hold. You don't even have dining credits on your account until after you have checked in to your resort. They take a credit card, and if you don't show up for the reservation they will charge you. Since it's a generally prepaid reservation, they will charge the entire cash value of that booking and not just $10 per person. This would be the same policy regarding CRT, Hoop de Doo and Spirit of Aloha. Fantasmic package is not prepaid, so the penalty there is $10 per person.

You need to cancel no later than 2 days before the reservation. If you must cancel within 2 days, then it'll be up to whoever you call to cancel as to whether your "excuse" for cancelling would merit waiving the cancellation charge.
