I'm looking for feedback on the Backstage Safari Tour.

I'd really love to surprise my animal-living DD16 with a tour of some sort on our November trip. I considered the Keys to the Kingdom, but 5 hours seems like a long tour for our short trip. I would love to take her on the Wild Trek or Dolphins in Depth, but they are a bit pricy for my budget this year.

How interesting is the Backstage Safari Tour? Is the safari portion the same as the regular safari ride? Did you feel it was interesting and worth the cost?

Any and all feedback is welcome. Thank you!

There's a really good review of the BST here. I think it's important to keep in mind that the tour is more about how AK staff care for their animals rather than the focus being on the animals themselves. If your DD is interested in the conservation aspect, it's definitely worth it, but if she's hoping for a lot of close-up time with the animals this isn't going to be for her.
