We were thinking of doing the Backstage Safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom Tour. Is it worth it for the three hours?

I think it is, but then I think all the tours are, LOL. I am going on my 9th (starting to run out of them now) in Dec. It was very interesting, as was Wild by Design there in AK. If you like backsatge stuff at WDW, you should enjoy. I did. Here is some more info, make sure you get discounts if they apply to you.

Thanks for the info! I will check out the link. BTW, we haven't done any 'backstage' tours as of yet. Do you think this is a good one to start with?

Not really sure which is the best 'to start with'. I think it might depend on which park you enjoy the most. If you like AK a lot, either of those are great. For me, I started with the 'big one', LOL, Backstage Magic. It took in 3 parks, all except AK. I do truly enjoy the tours. If you are a Disney 'nut', (and your name and your being here says you are), you most likely will enjoy any of them. BTW, really enjoyed all your cruise pictures. Was looking at them the other night. :)

Thanks, Dan! So glad you enjoyed our pictures. Can't wait to put more out there!

Maybe we'll start with the Backstage Magic instead. They all look so interesting, but this really does seem like the place to start.

Thanks again! :)

We did the Backstage Safari twice, we enjoyed it so much. The first year we went, in 2001, it was somewhat unorganized (I think they had college interns running it), but still very good. Last Oct, they had hired a retired highschool teacher to lead us and it ran much smoother. They also focused alot more on the contributions Disney has made to conservation efforts (almost trying to sell us on the fact they were on top of it.) But, the information you learn is great, the opportunity to see animals (elephants, giraffes, etc) up close and better yet, to have the opportunity to touch a white rhino is more than worth the price of the tour , IMO.

Oh, we also did Keys To the Kingdom. Loved that one, too!

No matter what, you will get a great tour experience!
