The Backstage Magic tour sounds like a great way to see some behind the scenes Disney magic, and was highly recommended by a friend (hi, Dan Murphy!!)

I'm planning to take this tour in March, and I'd love to get opinions of this tour from anyone else who's taken it!

I was going to give you mine, Kathy, but I guess you got mine already, LOL!!!!!!!! It was my first and set the tone for my desire to do a tour each trip. Enjoy!!!!

I just went on this tour on Dec. 30th. It was Wonderful!! James was our tour director and he was great. I have been to Disney many times and thought I knew just about everything, but, I was wrong LOL This tour was the hightlight of my trip. If you are open on your dates, ask if James is scheduled to work. We passed other tours during our tour and their director's didn't seem near a good/funny as James.

I wish I had seen this post before I made our reservations. We're going on the Backstage Magic tour May 4. Sure hope we get James! Anyone else have anything more to tell us about this tour? I've heard it's a great tour. It better be for almost $200 pp.

I took the tour this past August and really enjoyed it. I can't remember the name of our guide, but James does ring a bell. He was very good and told us all kinds of info. I am really into Disney and have read tons of stuff about the company so I did know quite a lot already, but even still it was very enjoyable. I loved going behind the American Adventure in Epcot, and into the utilodor. The time goes by real fast. Lunch was at Mama Melrose and it was excellent. Tons and tons of stuff, family style and they just kept everything coming!! I meet really nice people on the tour, it's nice to be around people who are into Disney as much as I am, like right here in the DIS!! :teeth: The take you by a comfy bus behind the parks so getting around is very easy. If you are interested in Disney I think you will love this tour.

Have Fun!!!

Have done Backstage Magic several times and learn something new each time. Had James once and Mark another time. Both were great. Definately hooked me on tours.

Are the tours offered daily?

/
How much time do you spend in each park?

I'll try to answer your ques. As far as I know, they offer it every day. Call as soon as possible because they limit it to 25 people per day. I really don't know how long you stay in each park because we flip-flopped around. I think we actually visited MK 3 times.(seeing different parts) You also tour other buildings on the Disney property. Also, lunch at Mama Melrose's was terrific! They serve you family style. We sampled several items from the menu. It was a great tour!

This tour is offered Monday - Friday. It's a 7 hour tour... don't know how that time's divided between the different parks, though!
