If you take a backpack in the parks, what do you do with them when you go on rides?

Some rides you can take them on, put it on the floor between your feet. But for the ones where you can’t bring your backpack there are lockers (free while on the ride).

Some rides require that you store your bags while riding them. The lockers are by the rides and are very easy to use.

Mind you don’t overpack. The lockers aren’t huge. They’re adequate but if you’re going to show up with a massive bag, you’ll be out of luck.

I was thinking about buying one of those string backpacks. Just big enough for essentials.

I use a laptop backpack and, with some squeezing and shoving, it fits in the lockers. A string backpack, unless stuffed full with a bunch of sweatshirts or something, should be fine.

Just consider that if those drawstring bags are heavy, those strings dig in. Ouch.

We always carry a drawstring bag - essentials only - sunscreen, ponchos, sunglasses, etc. Never had a problem fitting it and 2 Coke Freestyle Refillable mugs in a locker.

Backpack coolers are fine...the restrictions are more for the huge hand-held ones that bump into people and large hard-sided coolers that could hurt if bumped into/tripped over.

How strict are they on the size of the cooler you can bring in? We have this backpack cooler and have taken to WDW many times w no issues. We bring only bottled water and a few small snacks.
The dimensions are slightly bigger than the size listed on the official site. Just wondering if this will be a problem. Thanks.

8.5 x 6 x 6 is the max of the soft sided coolers allowed in the park

I could not open your link so not sure if it’s dimensions

They do check and prohibit anything larger than what is allowed

Our maxcold igloo cooler backpack is like that and we’ve never had a problem. We even put it into the lockers, though usually have to take a water bottle out and shove it in alongside.

We take our MaxCold Backpack Cooler and never have any issues. The Dimensions: 11.75in L x 8.5in W x 16in D
