Hello,

I am in need of some help on deciding on a backpack for our next trip. I have a small women backpack, similar to a camelpak with no bladder that I use and is perfect for day trips. Fits a wallet, diaper and some wipes, my sons epic-pen and meds, and a bottle of water, plus snacks. I love my bag!

But we are needing one for my husband to carry. He doesn't want a basic backpack. He would like something with mesh water bottle holders on the side, and something with a few straps and such. But he also doesn't need or want anything huge. There is 5 of us so the bag would need to fit an extra change of clothes for the youngest, water bottles, more snacks. I have a feeling that the two of us will get split up at some point during the day so I wold like to have a little bit of everything in both of our bags. We are traveling with family and will probably each have one at all times.

Any bags that you guys just love??

TIA

We've been using an LL Bean backpack for the past several years and it has held up so well - still looks new and we are not gentle with it while at Disney! I don't think they make the model we have any longer but there are so many styles to choose from. I would recommend something the size of their Explorer Backpack. We are a family of 4 and always have room to roll a light weight jacket for each of us in addition to a change of clothes for the kids when they were younger, autograph books, and other personal items. The straps are also well cushioned.

I bought a Lands End FeatherLight backpack for our trip last January because my North Face backpack was so heavy even when empty. They're on sale right now and I highly suggest them. Cupholders on both sides, chest strap if you want to use it, main compartment doesn't have the flap over the zipper like our Lands End backpacks (the zippers often get stuck on these) and the two loops on top make it easy to carry for the moments that it's not on your back. I found the medium sufficient, but you may want a large, especially if you husband will be carrying it. Just FYI, the animals pictured on the packs are add on embroidery, not standard.

They are so light, yet sturdy!

I was just wondering the same thing! My last backpack fell apart due to diaper bag abuse - I'm kinda hard in things that get daily use. :)

I'll be watching for more suggestions!

thank you! i tend to think of places like target and always forget about ll bean and the more online stores to choose from. having first hand experience helps a ton!!!!
