This will be the first trip coming up, that all of us our able to ride most of the rides. DD3 is finally at 40" and can't wait for Soarin. But that got me to thinking...those rides, we usually switched off w/our backpack when we went on them. Where will a backpack go on Soarin? I doubt it will fit in that little pouch thing, although, I never really paid attention. Also for Splash mtn. What do you do with a backpack on that? And any of the other rides like that you may think of. Thanks!

if it doesn't fit into the pouch on soarin', it can go on the floor (to the side of the vehicle). a cm may move it.

as for splash, obviously it'll help if it's water proof. the back is the least place to get wet. under a poncho is probably the best spot. in the front, you have room under the 'hood' area of the vehicle to hold it. the floor will probably be wet though.

have a waterproof storage area in the middle of the raft. People put cell phones and other items in there. A backpack, if not stuffed, should fit.

Soarin you can just leave on the floor and it is fine.

Other rides: I either put one foot in strap and tuck behind by feet or put in front of me and the harness hold it down. I have never had a prob.

Just be careful with this as they are not totally waterproff.

For the backbpacks we just keep a trash bag in ours and wrap it for the water rides.

I usually keep non-waterproof items in my backpack in a large ziplock so in case it gets wet they hopefully will stay dry.

On Splash Mountain I put my backpack on top of my feet on the floor. So it's not resting on the wet floor. I've never had it get terribly wet. A little sprinkled, but not wet.

On Kali I wear a poncho, so I put my backpack on my lap under the poncho. (I wouldn't mind getting wet on a ride but I don't want to be soaked. And I have this tendency to get soaked on rapids rides. I've been on 3 different ones numerous times each and every time I end up going backwards and hitting tidal waves. Sorry for anyone who sits near me.)

On RNR I put my legs through the straps so it really has no chance of going anywhere.

On soarin' you can just leave it on the ground to either side of the theater. You're not going leaving the theater.

I've carried backpacks on splash mountain. make sure that it's waterproof. My backpack is a cooler, so I don't need to worry about that.
