Backpacks at the parks?

For those of you who carry backpacks in the parks, what do you do with them while you are on a ride? Take them with you? Or is there a designated area for such items?

Thanks,
Terry

We just take them with us and depending on the ride I may just leave it on my back.

Most rides we can fit them down near our legs. Rides like RnR and Space Mountain one of us will stick our legs through the straps to keep it stablized. Some rides like Dinosaur have compartments you can stick the bags in, so its really not a big deal. :)

We always just take the backpack with us on the ride. Usually it will fit somewhere down by our feet and we have never had a problem. Some rides have a special pocket to put your stuff in (like Star Tours or Dinosaur). I don't believe they would let you leave a pack behind, too much liability for them.

First, be aware that you will have Disney Security look through the backpack before you enter the park. When we take one, it goes on the rides with us. I just take it off and hold it on the tamer rides, and put it in designated pouches for rides such as R 'n R C that go upside down. There are no places to leave it, because there isn't anyone to watch and make sure it isn't stolen. You could always rent a locker and keep it there.

the only 2 rides that would pose an issue I think are Space mountain and RnR.

just thread the back pack straps through your legs and rest the bag on the floor. we've done this and haven't lost anything yet!

Thanks everyone. This was what I was thinking would have to happen (legs between straps, that is). I'm not sure I'd rent a locker though.... would be my luck that just as soon as I left my poncho in the backpack in the locker, it would start raining while I was on the other side of the park! :rotfl:

My wife and I will both have bags that go over the shoulder and rest on the hip. They are smaller than your average back pack. Would we be alright on most rides with the bag straps still over our shoulders and the bags themselves resting on the seat or on our laps?

Thanks!
